Life After High School
CareerStart is our high school life skills and workforce
development component. The goal of CareerStart is to
strengthen day-to-day reasoning and decision making
skills for high school teens by training them on the skills
needed for success in life.
CareerStart uses excerpts from current events to create
one-of-a-kind learning experiences while offering each
student a unique opportunity to see where current
decisions may lead them. In addition, CareerStart assists
students with acceptance into college and/or trains them
for placement within professional internships that will lead to jobs.
We offer:
College Placement: We help students find a college that offers a degree in the skill of their choice and then we help them get enrolled.
Trade School Placement: We help students find a trade school that offers a certificate in the skill of their choice and then we help them get enrolled.
Job Search Assistance: A student’s job search being assisted by GRAAFICS means that our job development team sends your resume out to employers for you. We look for the jobs for you, we identify those jobs that you are a good match for, and we send your resume out to those employers.
Entry Level Money Management: GRAAFICS provides elementary money management trainings to those students interested in better managing their income.
Job Fairs: The opportunity to attend ‘CareerStart’ Job Fairs held inside of their school and/or on local and/or regional college campuses.
Mock Interviews: Participation in ‘Mock Interviews’ held inside of their school and/or within partnering local and regional colleges and businesses.
Internship: Each student will receive a professional internship with an organization directly related to or closely related to his/her chosen
